California now requires by two new laws that for employees of certain industries they must go through a training to identify human trafficking. Governor of California signed six bills targeting human trafficking, where two of those require human trafficking awareness training. California had the highest rate of human trafficking cases reported in the country over the last six years, according to the National Human Trafficking Hotline. The laws are scheduled to go in effect next year on January 1st.
