With the NFL draft approaching, places like Nashville, Tennessee are expected to see thousands of new faces. With such a large influx of people, police are encouraging everyone to keep an eye out for the warning signs of human trafficking. One Nashville native spoke up to share her personal story of how she became a survivor of human sex trafficking. Clemmie Greenllee was snatched off the street when she was only 12 years old. Her pimp kept her drugged, gagged and handcuffed. At one point she was even stabbed after trying to escape. It wasn’t until her late 30’s that Greenlee was able to escape the horrors of sex trafficking. She now uses her story to speak out and create awareness of the signs of sex trafficking. Police advise people to be aware that large spectator events not only bring a positive impact on the local economy, but they can also attract criminal activity.
