After a thorough police investigation into East Spa in Vero Beach, a former visiting deacon at St. Helen’s Catholic Church was arrested on allegations of soliciting sex. Mc Bride, the visiting deacon from canada was arrested a week after the allegations and has now been released on $1,000 bond. The deacon’s arrest came after a six month investigation into human trafficking in Indian River County. Police discover vulnerable woman were being lured by sex traffickers into massage parlors, where they were then coerced into working as prostitutes. Indian River County agencies have now issued 173 warrants for people involved. The charges range from human trafficking to racketeering and soliciting prostitution.
