On Friday March 15, 2019 troopers from Louisiana State Police Bureau of investigations special victims unit, along with the FBI, arrested 53-year old James E. Johnson Jr. Johnson, a Bail Bondsman was charges with two counts of human trafficking, two counts of first degree rape and one count of sexual battery. Johnson’s adult son and business partner, Patrick Johnson was booked into the Amite Jail with three counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles. Detectives also seized 27 firearms from Johnson’s home and businesses. Detectives say the investigation is still ongoing.
