Susan Munsey was trafficked at only 16 years of age by man she thought was her boyfriend. They met when she was 15 and by deception and force by 16 he had started trafficking her. “I really hadn’t talked to anybody about this for probably 30 years, other than my therapist,” Munsey, now 61, said. “I was really afraid that people would judge me..” Munsey expressed that she wishes none of these things happened to her but they had, and she wasn’t going to let the rest of her life be stripped away from her. She now runs a safe house for victims of sex trafficking. “It just sparked something in me,” she said. “I always knew that God would use that time that I was trafficked in some way. It wasn’t just going to be wasted time.” Shelter, food, therapy, among other activities are available for survivors. To read more and watch her video click here
